Simplex (single basket) Stainers for Batch applications where the flow can be interrupted in order to clean the basket. Duplex (two basket) Strainers for continuous applications where the flow cannot be interrupted in order to clean the baskets. "Y" Strainers are typically used in applications where the amount of solids to be removed is small, and where frequent clean-out is not required. Self-cleaning strainers are also available.
Stainers are designed to remove particle sizes as large as sticks and fish to as small as 0.0059" (equivalent to 100 mesh or 149 microns or 0.149mm) from flow rates up to 7,000 GPM. |
