Automatic Shut-off Systems Virtually any OPW top loader can be equipped with an automatic shut-off feature to help prevent spillage and overfills that can result with manual operation. This feature allows an operator to reliably load with more than one arm at a time, making the overall loading operations faster and safer. Both electrically and pneumatically operated shut-off systems are available. An adjustable level sensor mounted on the drop tube or vapor recovery plate works in conjunction with an actuated valve to stop flow when the predetermined fill level is reached. Electrical systems with multiple sensing points can be used to trigger a number of actions such as closing a valve, slowing down the pump, or sounding an alarm. |
