Gear Pumps
Gear pumps use the meshing of gears to pump fluid by displacement. For transferring and filtering viscous fluids, gear pumps are the most widely used. Gear pumps are also used in chemical installations to pump fluid with a certain consistency. There are two main types of gear pumps: external gear pumps which use two external spur gears and internal gear pumps which use an external and an internal spur gear. Gear pumps pump a constant amount of fluid for each revolution.
